My WEEKEND Make-up Routine

I have a weekend make-up routine that is a bit different than what I would usually wear during the weekdays, mainly because I don't have enough time before work to apply make-up. haha Most days I don't even wear any make-up to work! I just go all naturale. ; )

But this post is about my weekend make-up routine. There is no step-by-step tutorial or anything. I just wanted to show you guys what I've been using & wearing during my weekends. :)

I start off with a clean face! And this is what I use:

left to right: H20 Face Oasis Cleanser (also good for removing make-up!), Eye Treatment, & Moisturizer

And here are all the goodies!

Starting from the left:

Maybelline EyeStudio gel-liner in Carbon
Wet N Wild mineral bronzer in 167 Amber Glow
Covergirl Lip Perfection in Temptress or Enchantress. (whichever I feel like wearing at the time ;) )
ELF Powder brush
ELF contour brush
ELF small angled brush
KATE palette in GD-1
Wet n Wild eyebrow Kit
ELF primer
ELF eye concealer and highlighter in light
Fake Lashes I bought from Wal-mart...haha

This is the my FOTD from earlier before I went shopping:

I actually used a different palette in this picture. I'm wearing Physician's Formula palette in Pop Hazel eyes. I  used the taupe color and the very last purple color in the palette. hehe
I just pictured the KATE palette because on most days I am using that (especially since it's part of my Project pan, which I have been neglecting! Oops!)

& If you haven't noticed, I don't use mascara! I don't use mascara and I don't usually curl my lashes when I wear falsies. The falsies conceal my own lashes so well, I don't have to worry about curling them or wearing mascara. lol! And I don't like wearing mascara with fake lashes because I think it's messy and messes up my fake lashes. Or maybe I'm just too clean because once a week I wash/clean my lashes and brushes. lol

Anyway, I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!

CHANGES?? CH0LA LOOK:.

Hey, Everyone!

It has been a while since I posted something of purpose. haha :p But I camera is currently OTS and it has been for a long time now. :( I need to buy a new one I guess, but I'm so attached to my camera and want to somehow magically fix it. lol So, that's one reason why I haven't been posting anything! Another reason is I've just been going through some changes in my life & have been very busy trying to figure things out. I know that's unbearably vague, but I'd prefer not to talk about it. :p

But anyways! I talked to my friend back home & I haven't talked to her in over a month, so it was exciting to catch up with her! :) We happen to get on the topic about doing a Chola look! lol! I wanted to surprise her by doing my make-up that way, so after I got off the phone I did one and when she called me back I showed her. hahaha!

BTW, If you're wondering, I took these pics from my webcam. & Expect if I do post pictures, they came from my cell phone, which isn't of great quality. ugh

Here are the goods :) :

1. Back to School Beauty Encyclopedia- Bright Eyes
2. Shimmer palette
3. Cream eyeshadow in Eggplant
4. Cream eyeshadow in Bronzed
5. Eyeshadow palette in Luxe
6. Facial Whip in Persimmon
7. Facial whip in Golden Peach
8. Mineral eyeshadow in Golden
9. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

I bought everything for $18.45! :D I bought these while they were having the 50% off all Eyes. I wish You could combine coupons because I wanted free shipping as well haha :P

Pictures :D! :

I LOVE this cute little palette! You know, ELF cosmetics reminds me a lot of 100 yen japanese cosmetics. Anyone agree? haha Sorry about the lighting. It's been getting darker earlier now! But I promise you, this is super pretty :) I LOVE the red. It's very pigmented. The dark brown right next to it isn't as pigmented for some reason. To me, this palette reminds me of fall, mainly because of the red. :) If you want me to do swatches on my skin, just let me know. I didn't want to for lack of good lighting.

I LOVE this shimmer palette! This is also in natural lighting. At first, I didn't think it'd be that great, but I LOVE the texture! It's super slick, like it's very moist feeling, and has good pigmentation. ^^ New love* hehe It came with a VERY tiny brush that's practically useless. HAHA But it's cute as well. This is a good palette for every day use, but I also think you could easily use it for night looks as well to highlight any part of your face.

Okay, I like this beauty book, but some of the colors SUCK. The first color in the top left corner is chalky. UGH. It irritated me trying to use it. It's just like chalk. You don't get any color on your skin.
I have the same situation with the color right next to it. No pigmentation, just chalky. =_=
The grayish color in the bottom left corner is super hard! haha It's like cement! haha oh jeez...
Other than those three colors, the others are silky and have nice pigmentation. The eyeliner pencil is good, but hard to wash off.
At least I only paid $2.50 for this hahaha I can't really complain you know because I didn't spend much on it :P

I like these cream shadows! The left is Bronzed, the right one is Eggplant. So cute! :)

I cave in and did swatches on my hand:

The texture is the same as the shimmer palette. Love this too!! ^^

Facial whips in golden peach and persimmon. I was so excited about these the most!

Okay, So I had problems with the persimmon colored one! When I tried to squeeze some of it to my hand, it squirted a bunch of water out! It's still full of water. I tried shaking it up and it didn't do anything. It still squirts out water. Not cool..but the golden peach was the one I wanted to most anyway. I LOVE golds :) I tried the golden peach one earlier today. It's really good for highlighting any areas of your face. I used it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. It was very pretty! I was thinking maybe you could use it on your brow bone or C area for a night look. ;)

Mineral loose shadow in Golden. Told you I love gold ;D

Uhm, I took a picture of this on my hand with flash, and it was the same color as my skin, just shiny. heh So, I'll wait on taking a picture of that in natural lighting.

Last thing I bought was the Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

The primer has this funky smell to it, that's the first thing I noticed. It blends well and feels light. Very nice ^^ I didn't test it with eyeshadow yet! gomen ne~ maybe ashita! >_< I'll try it with my make up tomorrow morning and see how it goes. :)

So, what do I think about ELf overall? It's a good brand and inexpensive. I like it, I think the products are really good quality for such a cheap price. And it seems like they always have some sort of sale going on so you can definitely get the products for a lot cheaper online. I'm not a big fan of cream shadows, because of past experiences with them, but I LOVE the cream shadows and the shimmer cream palette. They are the best quality cream palettes I ever used. :) Usually when I buy a cream palette they dry up super fast and end up gunky, hopefully this doesn't happen with these products. If it does I will definitely update about that haha. ;) Also, I wouldn't recommend buying the beauty book. HAHA I think that just made me angry hahaha. I mean, it's good if you are just starting to use make up and just need to practice. It's alright in that case, but other than that, I would not recommend it.

If you have any questions, please comment! :)
